The History of Forge EAD:

Our Storyline

Conversation:

Two individuals from different athletic groups with similar ideologies. One softball and the other soccer, forming clubs in connection with recreational affiliations. Helping develop and refine players, with the results of the team as the consequence.

Meeting:

Weeks later we are sitting down with some others regarding the idea of opening a space. The idea of a softball club and 9 teams joining forces with a soccer club and 7 teams was intriguing.

Concept:

An idea supporting all athletics in a community. Eliminating the ego and self-serving approach, truly supporting athletics from a community approach with a “community space”. This makes better business sense for longevity and sustainability.

Partnership:

The two of us made the decision to push this idea forward as a business. We formed the corporation as partners and began to move forward.

Search:

We began the search for the ideal space, and after visiting a dozen sites or so, we came to the same determination. 865 Deming Way, Sparks, NV was it. We were both excited about the square footage and layout.

Design:

We began to put together what we both agreed was the best design for space, maximizing its functionality. We wanted the space to be practical for development and observation. With this design and layout, we can offer training, league, tournament, spectator, and entertainment for all who visit.

Anticipation:

We negotiated the terms of the space. We anticipated occupancy beginning in 2023. The float lease occupying space is held up on permits for T.I. in the space they are moving into. We finally took occupancy of the space on August 1, 2023.

Building Permit:

City of Sparks building permit approval. We pushed through the bureaucratic process and received approval on design paying for our building permit on November 11, 2023.

Buildout:

We began clean-up and demo on August 1, 2023, and began painting and prepping the space for the approved buildout design.

Special Touches:

We have put a great deal of effort into this property, we want this to feel like home to all that use the space. It is truly a labor of love.

Soft Opening:

We opened the space to our club teams for a test run, and for those who took time to help us with preparation of the space. We greatly appreciate each of you who took part in this journey with us, you each know who you are, Thank You.

Business:

We are very excited to open our doors entirely to the local athletic community.
